Before the Year Ends: 20 Questions to Ask Yourself with Clarity, Tenacity & Grace.
Before you make another resolution, give yourself a moment of honest reflection. Does the way you spend your time, energy, and money reflect the life you want to build? These 20 questions offer a place to begin—with honesty and a little grace.

What am I complaining about that I have the power to change?
What do I keep saying I want—and what action am I consistently postponing?
Where am I settling because starting over feels uncomfortable?
What habit is quietly keeping me stuck or leaving me exhausted?
Whose approval am I working for, and what is it costing me?
What decision am I avoiding even though I already know my next step?
Am I making meaningful progress, or filling my days so I can feel productive?
What promise to myself do I keep breaking, and how can I make it realistic enough to keep?
Does my spending support the security, freedom, and enjoyment I say I want?
Which relationships am I maintaining mainly because of our history?
What would I stop doing if I trusted my judgment more than other people’s opinions?
Who—or what—has more access to my time and energy than I can afford?
What part of my situation can I take responsibility for changing, while acknowledging what is outside my control?
What did I tolerate this year that needs a clear boundary going forward?
Where have I become more like the woman I want to be—and where do my choices still need to catch up?
Which commitments deserve my full attention, and which am I ready to pause or release?
What old expectation of myself no longer fits the life I’m building?
If my current choices continued for three years, would I be pleased with where they led?
What can I begin now without waiting for the perfect time, more confidence, or someone else’s permission?
If I treated myself like someone, I was responsible for helping succeed, what would I change today?
Make this manageable: Answer two questions at a time. Under each answer, write: “My next small action is…” Some answers may simply need reflection.
“You are the architect of your life.”
